As the Franchise Service Director for La Quinta Inns in Florida, I have had the pleasure to work with Fred Hirschovits and his Team at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Bonita Springs, Florida. He took over the property on April 1, 2012 as an independent property with a subpar reputation in the area and the community; facilitated the Franchise Brand selection, recommended the proper contractor for the very extensive PIP. The Hotel was closed Labor Day 2012 and opened back for business only 107 days later, after a total 100% “gut job” of 87 rooms and suites; including bathtubs, vanities, toilets, all guestrooms and all public areas. The Hotel earned the La Quinta Inns Renovation Award for 2012. Within 7 weeks of the opening on December 21, 2012, during the week of February 10 2013, the Hotel achieved 100% penetration in RevPar against the comp set !!During 2013 in the fall the Hotel was achieving 150% penetration for several weeks. Scores in Customer Service, Product Quality and Recommend to Others, rated by the guest have been outstanding.For the year 2013 the Hotel was in the top 7% for the whole La Quinta Inns system in our Net Promoter score (guest will recommend to others ).In my Florida region the hotel was #6 out of 86 Hotels for 2013.Presently the Hotel is also # 1 on trip Advisor in Bonita Springs, Florida Fred’s and his Teams professionalism, sales orientation and customer service approach has been excellent.Creativity in sales, strong rate management and his participation in general has driven the results above.
